Group’s Itineraries to Inspire

As your vacation planning specialist I specializes in personalized group adventure travel throughout the Gulf Coast of Florida with a strong emphasis on Bradenton, Sarasota, and the Gulf Islands. Recently recognized by the State of Florida as a Certified Travel Information Center, Book A Little Sunshine is able to work through an extensive array of activity, tour and accommodation partners to assemble the ultimate Get Away to Bradenton & the Gulf Islands. In selecting my chosen partners I intentionally look for the truly unique, off-the-beaten path and authentically Floridian experiences that our Gulf Coast is known for.

Here is a suggested 7 Day Itinerary to start exploring Anna Maria Island. Tackle them individually or string them together to customize your own epic adventure.

Day 1: Dock and Dine

Welcome to Florida! Bring your family and friends out for the ultimate dock and dine experience. Enjoy a 90-minute cruise through the protected Intercoastal waters of Anna Maria Island, sightseeing for dolphins, manatees, and other native wildlife. Then depending on your choice, it’s time for lunch at one of Anna Maria’s delicious waterfront restaurants or taking in the sunset before docking for cocktails and dinner.

Day 2: Cortez Fishing Village Tour

Experience a great 90-minute tour on Segways! You’ll visit the Maritime Museum housed in the 1912 Schoolhouse located on the park like grounds of the Cortez Nature Preserve. After a tour of the Museum, you will check out some of the freshest seafood and best local restaurants located right in the village. After taking in these sites, you can stop at Tyler’s Ice-cream for a delicious treat!

Day 3: Sandbar, Snorkel and Boat Tour

What do boats, snorkeling, and sandbars have in common? On this 2 Hour Sandbar Tour you get it all! Head out on an exciting boat tour out to the Sandbar near Longboat Pass. When you reach the Sandbar, your snorkeling adventure begins. Explore the crystalline waters around the Longboat Pass Sandbar and the mangroves near beautiful Jew Fish Key. You may even see dolphins, manatees, and stingrays! This is a great snorkeling adventure and Boat Tour in one!

Day 4: Tree Umph

Take the Trees! Come out for a day of outdoor play in the tress at Southwest Florida’s only elevated adventure course. Swing into action on ziplines, hanging nets, bungee swings, swinging logs, and foot bridges. Tree Umph has elevated outdoor adventure park with climbing, suspension bridges & zip line courses for all levels.

Day 5: Parasailing

Turn your frown upside down when you experience this fantastic adventure. Spectacular views of Anna Maria Island and the Gulf Coast as you soar to new heights. Gentle takeoffs, water dips when requested, and smooth landings provided by experienced USCG licensed captains and crew.

Day 6: Paddle Tour

What’s great about paddle tours on Anna Maria Island is that they’re designed to be compatible with all skill levels.  You have your choice of single or tandem kayaks, or stand up paddle boards. The tour paddles through mangrove tunnels and the protected waters of Palma Sola Bay.  Watch for water birds, manatees, and dolphins on this eco tour designed specially for private paddle parties, corporate “board” meetings, and paddle adventure trips!

Day 7: Bike Island Style

Visitors and residents alike find one of the easiest ways to get around the 7 miles of Anna Maria Island is by beach cruiser.  Get your group out on a morning bike ride before you depart.  The Coquina Trail that runs for a mile and half along Bradenton Beach is a great place to take in those final beach views and maybe even spot some last minute wildlife near the Longboat Pass.  Your group can chose from Tandems, Adult Trikes, Beach Cruisers, Gear Bikes, and bike accessories like Tag-A-Longs and Trailers for any little ones in your group.

Shuttle Transportation to and from the airport, activities, and accommodations available.
