Couple’s Itineraries to Inspire

As your vacation planning specialist I still believes in fairy-tale endings so I’m impassioned by creating the kinds of trips that luxury honeymoons and trips for two were made for.

In my eyes there are few travel experiences as important as your first real adventure together or taking that time to reconnect as a couple. From champagne sailing charters to private beach massages, your perfect honeymoon or vacation awaits.

Here is a suggested 7 Day Itinerary to start exploring Siesta Key. Tackle them individually or string them together to customize your own epic adventure.

 

Day 1 Arrival

Known for its brilliant quartz sand, turquoise waters and many beachside amenities, Siesta Key is a must-visit island paradise. The bright, white sands of Siesta Key are 99 percent pure quartz and is always cool to the touch. Since Quartz is said to have magical healing powers, many come to Siesta’s pristine white sand to take in its mystical powers. Visit Siesta Public Beach which twice has been named the nations’ best beach.  Schedule Beach Service with the Adventure Rental Center ahead of time so your chairs, umbrella, and cooler are waiting for you.

Day 2

Start the morning off with a Paddle Tour.  What better way to spend some time out on the water exploring Little Sarasota Bay throughout the James Neville Preserve than doing a kayak or paddle board tour. On a paddle through the Preserve you have an opportunity to find sharks teeth and shells on a beautiful quiet beach, watch the Ospreys and other wonderful wild birds feeding while you paddle in the tranquil waters. It is also not uncommon to even spot a Manatee or Dolphin.

In the afternoon explore Siesta Key in true Island fashion on beach bikes or a bike built for two.  Siesta Key beaches are one of the only Gulf Island beaches that you can bike directly on the beach.  Visit Siesta Village which is famous for its wild parrots as well as many other shore birds including terns, plovers, ibis, spoonbills, and storks. Bird Watching is a popular pastime for visitors.

Day 3

Visit Siesta Key’s sandbar where Corona commercials are filmed via the Sandbar Adventure Boat Tour. Enjoy the sand, sun, and surf on this 4 hour tour. Snorkel, swim, paddle board, or just kick back. Parasailing can also be added to this trip for an additional cost and they will pick you up right at the sandbar.

By your third day you may have seen these small three wheel scooter cars cruising through the village.  In the afternoon see what the rage is all about and a take a fun half day rental with a scooter car to see the Key.

Day 4

No Adventure to Siesta Key would be complete without some pictures to take home of your big catch of the day. The Sun Coast is an extraordinary place to go fishing and with our Sarasota fishing charter service. Captain Josh can put you on the fish you are looking for. From grouper to snapper…and even tarpon…our many natural ledges and an amazing artificial reef system provide natural habitats for a wide variety of fish species. This 4 hour or 6 hour charter will give you a sure chance of reeling in the big one!

Day 5

By day 5 you’ve gotten some great quality time in experiencing Siesta Key’s adventurous side.  Take time today to relax in the shade under a Cabana with your cooler full of ice, your toes in the sand, and taking in some quality beach time.  Remember the Adventure Rental Center offers a couple of different Beach Service Packages that can include as many things as you want, including paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkel gear.

In the evening take in the romance of Siesta Key’s Sunsets via a sunset cruise.

Day 6

Hold on tight to each other and ride island style via scooters to the marina and get out on the water for some high power fun on your own personal watercraft. With a jetski rental, you’ll have the time of your life. Never driven a jet ski before? Not a problem – all riders will be provided with full instruction on how to have an exhilarating and safe time out on the water.

Day 7 Departure

If time allows on your departure day close out your time together with a little leisure.  Sit back and let someone else do the work on an afternoon Pedicab tour.
